Erika J. McBryde was raised in Brevard County. She attended the University of Pennsylvania, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in English.  She went on to earn a Juris Doctor from Temple University James E. Beasley School of Law, where she served on the Temple International and Comparative Law Journal.

During law school, Ms. McBryde clerked with the Central Legal Staff of the Superior Court of Pennsylvania, the Commonwealth's intermediate appellate court. Having a strong interest in the arts, she also served as the manager of legal services during her third year of law school for the Philadelphia Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts, a legal arts organization providing pro bono legal services to artists and cultural nonprofit organizations in the greater Philadelphia area.

Ms. McBryde joined the firm in August 1999 to assist the litigation department with legal research and writing before passing the Bar. Her ability to quickly understand complicated legal issues and to concisely and clearly articulate legal arguments has led her to the areas of civil litigation, litigation support and appellate practice.

A member of The Florida Bar, Ms. McBryde is admitted to practice before the courts of Florida, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
