Many claimed that we were going through one of the worst economic recessions in modern memory a few short years ago, but recently the economy has started to recover. The housing market is bouncing back, and many cities are looking to join in on the economic boom. Melbourne may not be the first city people think of when they think of Central Florida, but thanks to a recent business deal involving the local Harris Corporation, our gem along the coast may become even more prosperous.
Recently, Harris Corp. entered into a contract with United States Army Dental Directorate to provide certain technologies and support for dental clinics serving the Armed Forces. The contract is for up to four-years and $30 million, and one Harris executive announced that the company would continue supporting the organization to ensure the health and wellness of military personnel.
Harris may be one of the largest and most significant business ventures in Melbourne and along Space Coast, but this impressive contract is really a shining example of the impressive business ventures that an improving economy could mean for Melbourne. A coastal city such as ours is a fantastic place to start a new business to accommodate tourists seeking a beach vacation or retirees looking to live out the remainder of their lives in peace and tranquility.
If you are considering a business venture in the Space Coast area, or if you are operating a fledgling business, you should know that there are many legal aspects involved, and enlisting the aid of an attorney could help you kickstart any plans for a business, small or large. Consider seeking legal counsel when moving forward with any business plan, but do not be afraid to follow any dream. One day, your company could be receiving multi-million dollar contracts as well.
