“If they (the buyers) want to read all the closing documents, which they’re allowed to do before they sign, they can contact the escrow agent in advance and ask for a copy,” one expert noted. “This way they can review them before they go to the escrow agency to sign the documents.”
Not only does this speed up the actual process of signing everything, but it also gives you peace of mind. You don’t necessarily want to speed read everything in the office, especially if buying with a spouse. You want to take your time, go over it carefully, and discuss any questions or concerns you have together. Doing it in advance allows you to feel confident when you set foot in the office.
